U.S Department of Education: 26 million people applied or were eligible for student loan forgiveness

(St. Paul, MN) -- The White House is looking to Minnesota to develop medical devices that incorporate cutting-edge technology like artificial intelligence and data science.
The Biden Administration announced Monday Minnesota is where one of 31 Tech Hubs will be built, and will be sharing millions in grants to spur innovation in new technology. The Minnesota MedTech Hub 3.0 looks to integrate new-age technologies and programs, like A.I., machine learning, and data science into medical technology.
"For too long, economic growth and opportunity has clustered in a few cities on the coasts, "said a spokesperson from the White House Press Team, "Tech Hubs awardees were selected to represent the full diversity of America, selected from more than 370 applications spanning 49 states and four territories. The Tech Hubs will bring the benefits and opportunities of scientific and technological innovation to communities across the country, with nearly three-quarters significantly benefiting small and rural areas and more than three-quarters directly supporting historically underserved communities."
The designation by the Biden Administration allows Minnesota to fight for funds passed through the CHIPS and Science Act passed in the summer of 2023.
Minnesota's Tech Hub will be led by the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Economic Development Partnership, but is expected to include big names in the medical field like the Mayo Clinic, Medtronic, United Healthcare and the University of Minnesota.
