(Grand Forks, ND) — The University of North Dakota is reviewing its campus alert system following a gun incident on campus over the weekend.
The federally mandated software sent out a message to students on Sunday morning.
Police were called to a fraternity house after someone reportedly pointed a firearm at people.
The weapon turned out to be a pellet gun.
A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody later that night.
U-N-D police told the Grand Forks Herald that it will examine how the situation was handled to see how the university can improve during future events.
