"Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign begins soon in North Dakota

(Bismarck, ND) -- Extra law enforcement patrols will soon be on North Dakota's roads as the start of the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign approaches.

It starts on December 15th and ends on January 31st.

Police say if you plan to drink, you should have a taxi, ride-share app, or a ride from a friend planned before you do.

The campaign is part of the "Vision Zero" strategy, which aims to eliminate all traffic fatalities state-wide.

Alcohol is reportedly a factor in 35 to 40-percent of fatal crashes annually in North Dakota.
