(St. Paul, MN) — The month of December is on track to become the warmest in Minnesota since 1872.
Department of Natural Resources climatologist Kenny Blumenfeld says the average temperature has been about nine degrees above normal in the Twin Cities. Meanwhile, its seven and 12 degrees warmer in Duluth, International Falls, Rochester, and St. Cloud.
Blumenfeld adds that if the forecasts for even warmer, drier weather over the next week happen, records will fall.
