(Fargo, ND) -- The area director for North Dakota's Small Business Development Center says a new wave of entrepreneurship is expected in 2024.

"Nearly a quarter of U.S. consumers are considering starting a new business in 2024 and that percentage is 28 percent among Gen Z," said Paul Smith.

Smith says young people are finding that owning businesses are a better pathway for building wealth compared to more traditional investments, including real estate.
