(Fargo, ND) -- North Dakota Governor Burgum touted the state's oil and gas industry during his state of the state address Tuesday.
"If you care about the fact that oil and gas right now is the golden goose that's funding all the things you care about, the oil and gas industry can extend its life by decades in both increased production and in reduced carbon intensity," said Burgum.
Burgum says demand for oil and gas will only grow in the future.
He also says those sources of energy can be complimented by renewable energy sources including solar and wind.
