(St. Paul, MN) -- A judge is giving the green light to Minnesota's new social studies standards.

The state's chief administrative law judge signed off the changes yesterday. The standards approved by the judge have been under discussion since 2020 and include a component requiring ethnic studies.

The state legislature passed a law last year requiring schools to offer ethnic studies classes by 2026.
