(Bismarck, ND) -- A lawsuit challenging how North Dakota handles mail-in ballots is going nowhere.

Last week, a federal judge in Bismarck dismissed the suit filed last summer by Burleigh County Auditor Mark Splonskowski, who argued that state law relating to mail-in ballots conflicted with federal law. Yesterday, U.S. District Court Judge Daniel Traynor dismissed the suit, asserting that Splonskowski lacked standing in the case.
