(Bismarck, ND) -- Victims of domestic violence in parts of North Dakota now have access to expanded forensic medical services.
The service expansion is thanks to a new state-funded pilot program and the approval of a Senate bill, which set aside $250,000 in grant dollars to go toward the effort. A large portion of the money went toward central Dakota forensic nurse examiners, which began expanded services in Williston and Bismarck at the beginning of the month.
Some of the funding was also awarded to safe alternatives for abused families in Devils Lake.
