Inmate pronounced dead at hospital after being found unresponsive at correction center in Crookston

(Fargo, ND) -- The Polk County Sheriff's Office has announced the death of a man who was being held at the Northwest Regional Correction Center in Crookston.

Deputies were called to the facility Wednesday morning at 9:00 in response to the report of an unresponsive male.

An ambulance also responded, and transported 51-year-old Matthew Bagley to Riverview Emergency Room.

He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Bagley's body has been transported to the UND Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

He was in custody on a DWI charge out of Norman County.

Bagley was from Lebanon, Tennessee.
