(Bismarck, ND) -- A Bismarck man charged with stealing vehicles and guns has been sentenced to two years in prison.

Gauge Johnson pleaded guilty to 10 felonies and one misdemeanor in two separate cases in Burleigh County last year. Authorities say Johnson admitted to taking the vehicles and trading a gun for meth.

Johnson was facing up to 10 years in prison, but Assistant Burleigh County State's Attorney Wayne Goter recommended a lighter sentence because Johnson cooperated with police.
