Merrill Piepkorn to launch campaign for North Dakota governor today

(Bismarck, ND) — Democrat Merrill Piepkorn will launch his campaign for North Dakota governor today.

The Fargo state senator is planning a press conference this morning to make an announcement; two days before the Democratic-NPL convention. He plans to hold another event this afternoon at the Bismarck Public Library.

While four candidates have launched gubernatorial campaigns, Democrat Travis Hipsher has dropped out. That leaves Congressman Kelly Armstrong and Lieutenant Governor Tammy Miller for the Republicans, Merrill Piepkorn for the Democrats, and Michael Coachman as an Independent.
