Minority groups in Minnesota most impacted by opioid overdose deaths

(Fargo, ND) -- Minority groups in Minnesota are hit harder by the opioid epidemic than any other people group.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that American Indians were 12 times more likely than whites to die of a fentanyl-related overdose in the state in 2022.

Meanwhile, African American Minnesotans are four times more likely to die.
