Man accused of stealing van and threatening to kill deputy in police custody

(Devils Lake, ND) -- A Devils Lake man who pleaded guilty to felony theft and preventing arrest has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Authorities found Jason Duerr driving a stolen van in Cavalier County last year. During his arrest, he was combative and later threatened to kill a deputy.

The incident remains under investigation
