Deputies shot serving warrant in Minnetonka

(Minnetonka, MN)  --  Two deputies are reportedly recovering from injuries after they were shot while serving a warrant in Minnetonka.  

Authorities say it happened today on East Crestwood Drive and Mayview Terrace in the Glen Lake neighborhood.

Area schools were placed on lockdown after shots were fired, and KARE 11 reports armored vehicles were called to the scene.  

The situation is still unfolding, but the Hennepin County deputies who were shot are expected to survive.

The public was asked to avoid the area.
