(St. Paul, MN) -- The Minnesota House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed the Ticketing Fairness Act, to ensure transparency in event ticket pricing.

The bipartisan bill, referencing Taylor Swift's 2014 studio album with its number, House File 1989, requires upfront disclosure of ticket fees, inspired by fans' frustrations during the 2023 Eras Tour ticket sales. The legislation also targets speculative ticketing and fake websites, aiming for "all-in pricing" to be disclosed beforehand.

The Senate version of the bill awaits action.
