(New York, NY) -- The daughter of Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is arrested after a pro-Palestinian protest in New York.
Isra Hirsi says she was also suspended from her private liberal arts college, Barnard College, for her participation in yesterday's demonstration at Columbia University.
Congresswoman Omar has been a critic of Israel's government and a supporter of a permanent cease-fire in Gaza.
She recently questioned the president of Columbia University when he testified before Congress about how the college treats protestors.
Omar did not mention her daughter's role in campus protests.
