(Minneapolis, MN)  --  A woman who lent her vehicle to George Floyd on the fateful day of his death is getting some good news.

Sylvia Jackson told KSTP-TV yesterday that her 2001 Mercedes SUV was being held as evidence in a criminal investigation.

Later in the day, the Minnesota Attorney General's Office announced that they would release the vehicle.

Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who pressed his knee to Floyd's neck for more than nine minutes, on May 25th, 2020.
