SWAT arrest Thompson man in standoff involving children and single gunshot

A Thompson, North Dakota man faces multiple charges following a SWAT standoff at a home.

The incident happened late last week after a woman reported that 35-year-old Kyle Spicer was armed with a gun and was suicidal, and there were four children in the home. SWAT was called to the scene. Police say Spicer fired a single shot from a rifle at one point during the standoff. The woman was allegedly assaulted by Spicer when she tried to leave the home with the kids, but they eventually made it outside to safety. Spicer later surrendered.

He faces multiple charges including terrorizing and felonious restraint.
