(Washington, DC) — North Dakota Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer are supporting legislation to eliminate the federal tax credit for electric vehicles and charging stations.
Senators Hoeven, Cramer and Senator Tom Barrasso of Wyoming introduced the bill this week.
The bill primarily seeks to end the 75-hundred-dollar tax credit for new EVs and the tax credit on used EVs.
It would also prevent China from exploiting loopholes and circumventing guardrails to access U.S. tax credits connected with electric vehicles.
