(Tower City, ND) — A tow truck driver charged in connection with a deadly crash near Tower City is set to change his plea today.
Mario Butler is accused of abandoning his tow truck on I-94 in January of 2022 after it experienced mechanical problems, and another vehicle later crashed into it, killing a woman and injuring three other people inside. Butler initially pleaded not guilty to charges of negligent homicide, reckless endangerment, driving under suspension, and driving without liability insurance.
His plea hearing is set for 1:30 this afternoon.
