(Minneapolis, MN) — Former President Donald Trump says Minneapolis would have burned to the ground if it were not for him.
He made the comments in a recent interview with Alpha News.
Trump was referring to the demonstrations after the death of George Floyd in 2020.
He added that he got awards for saving certain areas and towns because local politicians didn’t want to act.
Trump also told KSTP-TV that he won Minnesota in 2020 when he lost to President Joe Biden by seven percentage points.
The ex-president is expected to headline the Republican Party of Minnesota’s annual fundraising dinner tonight.
