(Fargo, ND) -- A representative with the North Dakota Department of Commerce says an initiative aimed at recruiting skilled workers to the state is yielding results.

"They are qualified leads. They've interacted with our marketing campaign and shown interest in relocating to North Dakota and so now employers will be able to interact with them directly," said Talent Attraction Specialist, Sara Michael.

Michael said more than 15 hundred candidates from around the country have expressed an interest in working in the state.

They've added their names state's Candidate Marketplace.

The initiative is part of the commerce department's Find the Good Life Program.

The program allows employers in the state to make direct contact with the candidates.
