Minot woman set to be sentenced after pleading guilty to poisoning death

MINOT, ND — A Minot woman awaits sentencing after she pleaded guilty last week to killing her long-time boyfriend.

Prosecutors say, in early September, 48-year-old Ina Thea Kenoyer poisoned her boyfriend of 10 years – Steven Edward Riley Junior – after he told her he was going to inherit tens of millions of dollars, and that he was going to break off their relationship. Shortly thereafter, first responders were called to the couple’s home, where Riley was found unconscious. He died at the hospital shortly thereafter. Following an autopsy, it was determined he had been poisoned.

Kenoyer reportedly was arrested on October 30th.
