BISMARCK, ND – The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services says an additional case of measles has been reported.
The individual is from Burke County and traveled frequently to Williams County before the illness. Burke County is now the fourth county in the state to be impacted by measles.
North Dakota now has 28 confirmed cases of measles. Williams County leads the state with 13 cases, with Cass and Grand Forks County each reporting seven cases.
Early vaccination is not recommended in Burke, Cass or Grand Forks counties. Investigations show no evidence of community spread in those areas.
