BISMARCK – North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong is set to announce state action in response to concerns about food access in North Dakota.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will be paused beginning Nov. 1, 2025, if the federal government shutdown continues past Oct. 31, 2025.
Armstrong will be joined by North Dakota Health and Human Services interim commissioner Pat Traynor, State Health Officer Sherry Adams and the interim CEO and Chief Operating Officer at the Great Plains Food Bank, Kate Molbert.
