(WASHINGTON, DC) – A bill to move the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library forward has been passed by the U.S. Senate.
The bill supports the establishment of the library.
If passed, the bill authorizes the Department of the Interior to provide grants to establish the presidential library and support the display of materials, requires the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation to utilize non-Federal funds to provide a 2:1 match for each federal grant awarded and prohibits the use of federal grants for maintenance or operations of the interpretive center.
The bill has yet to pass the U.S. House.
