Bismarck man elected NDGOP Chairman

BISMARCK, ND – The North Dakota Republican Party has new leadership.

Matthew Simon, of Bismarck, won the seat of Chairman of the Republican Party in an election Saturday in Bismarck. He ran against Shane Goettle, former national committeeman, and former North Dakota State Senator Judy Estenson of Warwick.

Elected First Vice Chair was Paul Henderson, the husband of North Dakota House member Donna Henderson, and reelected to Second Vice Chair was Fargo’s Jennifer Benson.

Treasurer Steven Hillerud and Secretary Andrew Bornemann were both reelected to their seats.

The election was held as a part of the party’s state committee meeting in Bismarck.
