WATFORD CITY – An Emny-winning documentarian is bringing his docuseries to the big screen in Western North Dakota.
Cory Hepola’s My Town docuseries is set to unveil a feature on North Dakota’s Bakken region – and more specifically, Watford City. Appearing on The Flag’s What’s On Your Mind, Hepola said he hadn’t heard much about the community.

“When it pertains to Watford City in particular, honestly I didn’t know anything about it outside of, hey there’s this small town that is in the fastest growing county in the United States, why is it growing so fast? Like what is happening there,” he said.”
What surprised him was the fact that not only is Watford City growing, but families have chosen to make their lives there.
His docuseries will premiere on Saturday night at 5 p.m. at the Six Shooters Showhall in Watford City. Tickets can be found by clicking here. They’re free and on a first-come, first-serve basis.
