DULUTH, MINN – Despite identifying voting irregularities during last weekend’s Minnesota Republican Party endorsing convention, delegates continued to support using the electronic voting system.
“The body voted – not once, not twice, but three times throughout the entire convention, to not go to paper ballots,” Minnesota GOP National Committeeman AK Kamara said in an interview on The Flag’s Steve Hallstrom Show.
He said two of those votes came after ‘some type of irregularity’ were identified and talked about publicly at the convention.
“After that happened, people – the body – still voted that they wanted to continue forward using the electronic voting,” Kamara said.
He said that he abstained from voting on the issue, saying he would do ‘whatever the will of the body is.’
