ST PAUL, MINN – Minnesota State Senator Jordan Rasmusson (R-Fergus Falls) says he’s heartbroken after learning House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, have died after a shooting this morning.
Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, were injured.
“”I’m deeply heartbroken by the news involving Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark. My prayers remain with Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette. The violence that unfolded is both shocking and tragic,” Rasmusson said. “As we wait for answers, may we hold each other close and pray for peace in our communities.”
