Flood warnings issued in southeast North Dakota

REGION – Heavy rains are dumping on areas of southeast North Dakota.

According to the National Weather Service, a Flash Flood Warning has been issued for central Barnes County until 9:45 p.m.

At just before 7 p.m., according to the weather service, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain were moving across the region – with flash flooding already occurring.

The North Dakota Agricultural Weather Network says 6.44 inches of rain had fallen near the Dickey County community of Wirch, with 3.33 inches of rain reported near the city of Edgeley.
