Grand Forks woman dies in Polk County crash

EAST GRAND FORKS, MN – A Grand Forks woman is dead and a man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a crash in Polk County Thursday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a vehicle was westbound on Polk County Road 17 when it collided with a northbound tractor that was on Highway 2.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 67-year-old Grand Forks woman, died. The driver and lone occupant of the tractor, 27-year-old Tyler Shaver of Red Lake Falls, was transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

The woman’s identity will be released on Friday.
