BENSON COUNTY, ND – A 67-year-old Jamestown woman is dead after authorities found her vehicle submerged in a lake in Benson County.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says they responded to a report of a vehicle submerged in Stink Lake. While the exact time and date of the crash is not known at this time, a preliminary investigation revealed tire marks in the gravel, indicating a recent crash.
The vehicle entered the west ditch and rolled over large rocks before coming to rest on its roof in the lake.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
