Measles cases continue to rise in North Dakota

(BISMARCK, ND) – Cases of the measles continue to rise in North Dakota.

Five additional cases have been reported in Williams County, bringing the state’s total to nine. Four of the cases were in Williston Public Schools buildings while infectious.

All newly confirmed individuals were unvaccinated and had no reported contact with previously identified cases. These individuals are currently isolating at home as recommended to help limit further spread.

Members of the public who were present at the Williston Walmart on April 29 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. may have been exposed. Those individuals are encouraged to monitor for symptoms and contact a health care provider if symptoms develop.
