(ST PAUL, MN) — You’ll see additional law enforcement officers on Minnesota roads during the upcoming summer season.
The Department of Public Safety announced that the goal is to reduce speeding and reckless driving. So far this year, the agency says there have been at least 15 speeding-related deaths.
The patrols will take place during what are considered the 100 deadliest days on Minnesota roads, which covers the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
In 2024, Minnesota tallied 151 deadly crashes.
