(BISMARCK, ND) – The North Dakota State Board of Higher Education says, in a statement, that it has begun an internal review in light of recent news from the Ray Holmberg investigation.
The board pointed to individuals previously affiliated with its institution or board that ‘may have had a connection to the criminal investigation of former Senator Holmberg.’
“Immediately upon learning of this information, the SBHE, in conjunction with our institutional leaders, began an internal review of records to determine if there were any violations of policy or law or a failure to report misconduct,” the board said in a statement Wednesday. “We intend to be proactive and diligent, and the scope of our internal review will be comprehensive.”
The board says that they will be transparent with any findings that come from the review, which they caution will take time.
