Measles continues to spread in North Dakota

BISMARCK, ND – Since last Sunday, North Dakota’s measles count has increased by three cases.

The three cases were reported last Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. That brings North Dakota’s total now to 32 cases, all in unvaccinated individuals. Two of the cases have resulted in hospitalizations. 24 of the cases are in individuals ages five to 19.

Many of the cases have been reported in western North Dakota – with 14 in Williams County and one in Burke County. The other 17 cases have been in Grand Forks and Cass counties – 10 in Grand Forks and seven in Cass.

No one has died.
