North Dakota Homelessness up 26 percent

(Bismarck, ND) — Homelessness is on the rise in North Dakota.

According to the Homeless Management Information System, the annual count of homeless individuals in the state is up 26-percent over the past four years. With that, the Missouri Slope Areawide United Way is expanding their Center for Opportunity to provide more assistance to those experiencing temporary or long-term homelessness.

Now 35 local organizations support the organization’s efforts to provide those services.
