REGION – The Northern Lights should be visible tonight.
“The sun’s magnetic field “unzipped” and a HUGE solar flare is heading our way,” Flag Family Chief Meteorologist Dean Wysocki said. “This means a GREAT chance to see the Northern Lights tonight.”
He says the smoke in the atmosphere is forecast to diminish after midnight, allowing improved visibility for viewing the lights.
