BISMARCK, N.D. – A ballot question requiring public schools to provide free breakfast and lunch to K-through12 students is moving to the next phase.
After winning approval of the question’s format this week from the secretary of state, supporters now have to collect 31-thousand-164 qualified signatures. The deadline for the June primary election is February 6, while the November general election’s deadline is July 6.
The chairperson of the sponsoring committee is Robin Nelson of Fargo.
