Ex-ND lawmaker says he’s a target of “rumors and innuendo” while explaining sudden resignation

Bismarck, N.D. – A North Dakota lawmaker is confirming his choice to resign following the end of the legislative session, and isn’t saying much about why.

Jeremy Olson, a Republican who represented parts of McKenzie County, spoke briefly to Flag Family News to confirm his decision.

When asked why he stepped away, Olson would only say he’s been the target of “rumors and innuendo” without going into further detail about the nature of the rumors.

Last week on Friday, there were reports that someone filed a complaint against Olson, although the exact reason for the complaint remains unclear.

Olson confirms he sent a resignation letter to Legislative Management.
