(PIERRE, SD) — South Dakota is reminding qualifying state residents that sales and property tax refunds are available through the summer.
Senior citizens and folks with disabilities can apply for relief through the South Dakota Tax Refund Program until July 1st.
Aside from income, age, and disability requirements, qualifications include being a state resident since 2024 and owning your home for at least three years.
But the South Dakota Department of Revenue says you can only apply for either the sales tax refund or the property tax refund, not both.
