REGION – Storm damage reports are coming in from this morning’s storms.
A report was received regarding a semi blown over on the I-29 train bridge near Buxton.
In Steele County, the City Shop in Finley was destroyed, according to Steele County Emergency Manager Ben Gates. He says the tin is off the roof and siding has been ripped off due to the wind. Nearly one-quarter of the community is without power, but electrical company officials are on scene assessing the situation. Gates says a large bin at the elevator is down – and it crushed some vehicles.
In Grand Forks, resident Lindsey Gerszewski said her house’s bedroom wall exploded in on them – and she said it felt like a tornado.
A building also suffered extensive damage.
“It’s completely gone,” she said. “It’s all over our yard.”
The building housed classic cars, which she says was damaged.
