Twelve people injured in crash near Grandin

TRAILL COUNTY, ND – A crash injured 12 people Thursday afternoon.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened on I-29 at mile marker 95, which is approximately three miles north of Grandin.

A 2017 Ford Transit was southbound on the interstate when its left tire blew, causing the vehicle to enter the west ditch, roll and come to rest facing northwest.

The driver, a 34-year-old from Arvilla, was uninjured.

His 35-year-old passenger, along with 11 other juveniles, ranging from age nine months to 16 years, were injured, with injuries all non-life-threatening. The injured were all transported by ambulance to area medical facilities.

The Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
