Two new cases of measles reported in North Dakota

BISMARCK, ND – Two new cases of measles have been reported in North Dakota.

Jecca Geffre, Communications Director at the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services, confirmed the additional cases late Tuesday afternoon.

The total number of cases is now 23 – 13 of them in Williams County, seven in Cass County and three in Grand Forks County. All of the cases are in unvaccinated persons, and only one of the cases has caused a hospitalization.

The Department of Health and Human Services says 16 of the 23 cases are in children ages five to 19.
