(WASHINGTON, DC) – Two lifelong North Dakota farmers are being appointed to state positions within the USDA.
Senators Kevin Cramer and John Hoeven say Brad Thykeson has been appointed as the North Dakota State Executive Director of the Farm Service Administration (FSA), and Tom Campbell has been appointed the state’s director for Rural Development.
Thykeson returns to a position he served in under President Donald Trump’s first term. In the first stint with the agency, Thykeson implemented FSA programs and oversaw the policies that provided producers with assistance when needed.
Campbell’s lifelong farm and extensive public service were cited in the Senators’ recommendation for him to serve in the position as state Rural Development director. He co-founded Campbell Farms and served as a North Dakota State Senator from 2013 until 2018.
