(EDINBURG, ND) – The voters in the Valley-Edinburg Public School District have rejected a pair of referendum questions.
School district officials say, in a social media post, that the voters rejected both questions – the first being a debt limit increase and the second a $15.2 million bond referendum.
“This means our district will not be able to complete the improvements outlined in the referendum plan,” the district said.
The first question failed 455-180, while the second question failed 463-174.
“We respect the decision made by our community,” the district wrote. “Our district will continue to explore ways to address the challenges of our current school buildings.”
