ST PAUL, MINN. – Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is calling on Minnesota House Republican state legislative leaders to release whistleblower fraud tips.
The tips came to light in a report by Minnesota television station KSTP as it reported the Republican-led House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Policy Committee has allegedly ‘received hundreds of whistleblower tips through its hotline’ but hasn’t sent them on to state law enforcement or the Department of Human Services.
“This is outrageous,” Governor Walz said. “I expect political attacks in an election year. What is unacceptable is actively withholding information about fraud and blocking investigations in order to advance a political agenda. If there is fraud, it needs to be investigated immediately — not sat on, redirected, or used for political theater.”
Flag Family News has reached out to House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Policy Committee Chairwoman Rep. Kristin Robbins for comment. As of the time of this article, no response has been received. Flag Family News will update this story as soon as a statement is received from Robbins.
