(Undated) — The man known as the godfather of Minnesota defense attorneys has passed away.
Joe Friedberg died this week from colon cancer at age 87.
He is known for representing some of the region’s most high-profile criminal defendants, including NFL players, politicians, murderers, and drug lords.
Friedberg also won several awards, including the Distinguished Service Award from the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and induction into the Minnesota Lawyers Hall of Fame.
